Rugby in Uruguay

The game we know best

School and club rugby tours, in the game we know best. We have hosted club and school sides from Buenos Aires through the North Island, including a pre season tour for three teams from one club, a touring party of 100. A rugby tour with us means well matched games, training on good grounds and time with the host team afterwards. Touring sides have had sessions with current Super Rugby coaches, and when the draw allows we get your players to a Super Rugby match. Going the other way, we plan tours for New Zealand sides to Argentina, Australia and beyond.

Uruguay is a ferry crossing from Buenos Aires over the Río de la Plata, which makes it a natural second country on an Argentine tour. We build Montevideo in as a two or three day leg: a game against local opposition, the old town and the port market, and a walk along the Rambla before the ferry back. It suits teams that want more than one stamp in the passport without adding long travel days.

Rugby Tours in Argentina and Uruguay

14 days

A two country rugby tour. Start in Buenos Aires, take the ferry across the Río de la Plata to Montevideo, then head down the Argentine coast to Mar del Plata before finishing back in the capital. It is four games in two weeks against club and school sides, with an estancia day, Montevideo's old town and time on the coast in between. Argentina is where our closest relationships are, and we plan this tour with partners on the ground who we have worked with for years. Fixtures are arranged for your team's level once we are planning together.

Before you ask

Questions, answered

How much does a tour cost?

Every tour is quoted individually because every tour is built around your team — sport, level, dates and budget. Tell us what a great trip looks like and we will come back with an honest price and a first draft itinerary.

Can we customise our itinerary?

Yes — no two tours are the same. Every Brock Sports tour starts with your team, your sport and your goals, and we build it with you, fixture by fixture.

What is included in the price?

Every quote sets it out plainly. A typical tour covers games, training, accommodation, transport, breakfasts and dinners, and the cultural and sightseeing programme. Lunches and personal travel insurance are usually separate, and we will spell out anything else that is.

Which meals are included?

Breakfasts and dinners are included as standard. Lunches are usually at your own cost, so players can choose for themselves.

What happens if the weather turns?

We adjust the day and offer a suitable alternative wherever we can. It is New Zealand, so we plan with the weather in mind.

Do you run multi sport school tours?

Yes, it is the tour we run most. Recent school groups have travelled with rugby, hockey and volleyball teams together, and with rugby, basketball, hockey and handball. Boys and girls teams tour as one party and play on the same days where we can.
