Hockey in Argentina

Good turf, good games

School hockey tours built around well matched games on good turf. Hockey has been part of nearly every school group we have hosted, and girls teams from Buenos Aires have played their way through the North Island with us, against school first elevens and regional under 16 sides. We find opposition at your level, book turf time for training and make sure the day finishes with the two teams together. One touring group played four games in a fortnight, each against a different region. If your school travels with more than one code, hockey slots in easily: same route, games on the same days.

Argentina is where Brock Sports has its deepest ties outside New Zealand. Nearly every group we have hosted at home has come from Buenos Aires, and we have taken New Zealand teams the other way. A tour usually starts and ends in Buenos Aires, with legs inland or down the coast depending on your sport and how long you have. Expect club hospitality after the final whistle, a day on an estancia, and opposition that plays with real feeling. We plan it with partners on the ground who we have worked with for years, and we will tell you plainly what suits your team.

Hockey Tours in Argentina

13 days

School and club hockey tours to Argentina, one of the great hockey countries. The women's national side, Las Leonas, have been world champions, and club hockey around Buenos Aires runs deep through schools and families. A touring side plays girls and boys who grow up with a stick in their hand. This is where our closest relationships are. Girls hockey sides from Buenos Aires have toured New Zealand with us since 2023, and we plan tours the other way with partners on the ground who we have worked with for years. The four city route below is a sample, with games arranged at your grade once we are planning together. When to go: club hockey around Buenos Aires is played from about March to November, so the July and the late September holidays both land in the middle of the season.

Before you ask

Questions, answered

How much does a tour cost?

Every tour is quoted individually because every tour is built around your team — sport, level, dates and budget. Tell us what a great trip looks like and we will come back with an honest price and a first draft itinerary.

Can we customise our itinerary?

Yes — no two tours are the same. Every Brock Sports tour starts with your team, your sport and your goals, and we build it with you, fixture by fixture.

What is included in the price?

Every quote sets it out plainly. A typical tour covers games, training, accommodation, transport, breakfasts and dinners, and the cultural and sightseeing programme. Lunches and personal travel insurance are usually separate, and we will spell out anything else that is.

Which meals are included?

Breakfasts and dinners are included as standard. Lunches are usually at your own cost, so players can choose for themselves.

What happens if the weather turns?

We adjust the day and offer a suitable alternative wherever we can. It is New Zealand, so we plan with the weather in mind.

Do you run multi sport school tours?

Yes, it is the tour we run most. Recent school groups have travelled with rugby, hockey and volleyball teams together, and with rugby, basketball, hockey and handball. Boys and girls teams tour as one party and play on the same days where we can.
