Basketball in Argentina

A game we know from the inside

School basketball tours in New Zealand and overseas, planned by people who know the game from the inside. Cole spent time as general manager of the Taranaki Airs, and basketball has toured New Zealand with us as part of a school group from Buenos Aires. We plan basketball the way we plan every code: games against school and club sides at your level, gym time between them, and the two teams together afterwards. If you are thinking about the United States, that is a newer destination for us and we plan each tour there from scratch. Tell us what you are after and we will be honest about what we can line up.

Argentina is where Brock Sports has its deepest ties outside New Zealand. Nearly every group we have hosted at home has come from Buenos Aires, and we have taken New Zealand teams the other way. A tour usually starts and ends in Buenos Aires, with legs inland or down the coast depending on your sport and how long you have. Expect club hospitality after the final whistle, a day on an estancia, and opposition that plays with real feeling. We plan it with partners on the ground who we have worked with for years, and we will tell you plainly what suits your team.

Basketball Tours in Argentina

13 days

Basketball tours to Argentina for school and club teams. Argentina has a proud basketball history, including an Olympic gold medal in 2004, and a club scene where the gym is the heart of the neighbourhood. Basketball has toured New Zealand with us as part of an Argentine school group, and Cole was general manager of the Taranaki Airs. Going the other way, we plan with partners on the ground in Argentina, on the four city sample route below, with games arranged for your level once we know your squad. When to go: junior club basketball follows the Argentine school year, which runs from March to December like ours, so a July tour finds teams in full season.

Before you ask

Questions, answered

How much does a tour cost?

Every tour is quoted individually because every tour is built around your team — sport, level, dates and budget. Tell us what a great trip looks like and we will come back with an honest price and a first draft itinerary.

Can we customise our itinerary?

Yes — no two tours are the same. Every Brock Sports tour starts with your team, your sport and your goals, and we build it with you, fixture by fixture.

What is included in the price?

Every quote sets it out plainly. A typical tour covers games, training, accommodation, transport, breakfasts and dinners, and the cultural and sightseeing programme. Lunches and personal travel insurance are usually separate, and we will spell out anything else that is.

Which meals are included?

Breakfasts and dinners are included as standard. Lunches are usually at your own cost, so players can choose for themselves.

What happens if the weather turns?

We adjust the day and offer a suitable alternative wherever we can. It is New Zealand, so we plan with the weather in mind.

Do you run multi sport school tours?

Yes, it is the tour we run most. Recent school groups have travelled with rugby, hockey and volleyball teams together, and with rugby, basketball, hockey and handball. Boys and girls teams tour as one party and play on the same days where we can.
